Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts Meeting Notice
Meeting Notice for Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts
The Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts will meet on Thursday evening, June 8, at 6 pm in the Daughtry Foundation building, 221 E College Street, Jackson. Social time will be followed by a Salad Bar Supper, hosted by Candee Carmichael, Walt Crosland, Amy Fletcher and Laura Richardson. Members are asked to bring appetizers, desserts, other kinds of salads, or favorite salad toppings and additions for the Salad Bar (such as tomatoes, bacon, cucumbers, red onion, nuts, berries, etc) to complement the bite-sized pieces of chicken tenders, lettuce, and salad dressings provided by the hosts. Tea and water will be offered, and you are welcome to bring your favorite beverage.
A program describing her “abstract expressionism” painting and patriotic inspirations will be presented by local professional artist Kathy McGinn of Atlanta. Her focus on liberty and patriotism is born out of a love for America and a need to express her gratitude for all men and women who sacrifice to keep this country free.
A regular business meeting will follow, including a report of the recent project completed by the Art of the Garden Tour committee. Guests and those interested in knowing about the work of the Arts Council are cordially invited to join us.
