Meeting Notice for November 14, 2024 

The hosting team of Peggy and Cal Ruffin, Pam Stevenson and Diane Glidewell will be  providing some delicious main Italian fare - chicken tetrazzini, vegetable lasagna and another pasta dish with meat and a tomato-based sauce - for the Annual Meeting of the Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts covered dish supper on Thursday evening, November 14 at the Daughtry Foundation building at 221 College Street in Jackson.  Members are asked to bring an appetizer, an adult beverage, a bread, a salad or side dish, or a dessert to share.  Iced tea and water will also be provided.  Social time will begin at 6 pm, followed by supper and a very special program, led by Patti Clark, that will be presented by a few members of the Arts Council.  The program is a special surprise which promises to be informative, fun and a toe-tapping artful experience for all…a perfect way to conclude a very busy and productive year  for our organization!              ????   ??????  ????

Since it is our Annual Meeting, elections for new officers will take place during our business meeting.   We will hear wrap up reports from some committees, as well as plans for events yet to happen this year and into next year.  Come to learn about a tribute retrospective to honor  founding member, Scott Coleman, and how your help is needed to be part of that event.  Hear about plans for the next Art Pop-Up Show at the Historic Courthouse on November 17, featuring four of our own members.  Plans are buzzing for our May 17, 2025 Art of the Garden Tour, and you will want to hear about our holiday social planned for December.  There are still important things to do before we settle down for a long winter’s nap!  Bring your enthusiasm, your interest in all that happens under the umbrella of the arts in our community, your calendar so that you won’t miss an important date, a dish to share, and a guest who might enjoy being part of our creative and active organization.  We are counting on YOU!
