Jackson-Butts County Council of the Arts Chili Cookoff
It’s baaack!!! The Great Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts Chili Cookoff! on Thursday, January 13, 2022, beginning at 6 pm with appetizers and beverages, at The Daughtry Building on College Street.
The Jordans and the Kutchers will host the gathering, and will provide lots of bowls, cornbread, toppings for chili, and a brownie sundae bar for dessert along with bottled water and iced tea. Please bring your own adult beverages and/or sodas. We ask that you participate by bringing a preheated pot or crockpot of chili, plus a serving ladle. Any variety of chili including vegetarian, beef, chicken, venison, etc., in any degree of spiciness is welcomed, so that we may all taste, enjoy, and vote for one that tickles our varying tastebuds. The reigning chili queen, Candee Carmichael, had lots of competition at our first event and won by a very close vote with her delicious “Candee’s Camp Chili”. Join the fun, bring your specialty or a recipe you’ve been meaning to try! Yes, you may bring an appetizer or side dish instead of, or plus, a pot of chili. We have such wonderful cooks...Let’s warm up the cool January temperatures with some tasty bowls of red and white chilis!
Cheryl will interrupt our cookoff with a regular business meeting and a program, and our special birthday personality will make another guest appearance so we can celebrate his 87th birthday this year! Be ready to sing 🎶 , on a high note!
